                                  December 7th & 8th, 2018 in Graham, TX

We are very excited to be holding our Annual Santa Shootout kart race at the Young County Arena, in Graham, Texas. The Santa Shootout was created in 2006 to give go-kart racers and their families an opportunity to compete during the normal “off season”, while providing them an exciting indoor race that few, at the time had ever experienced.  In fact at the time of its inception, it was known as one of the few indoor karting events held anywhere in the nation, and soon became popular throughout the United States.  The first event held had 80 entries, which we considered large at the time, considering most season holding tracks net around 30 to 40 per night.  It continued to grow each year with last year’s entry numbers at 210. The Santa Shootout paved the way for Texas indoor racing and in 2013 became part of the Midwest Winter Race Series, which consists of five indoor races. This series includes three stops in Texas and two in Oklahoma, with drivers coming from all over the United States.  Points are accumulated throughout the series with a cash payout and Championship awarded at the end, but each event awards trophies to the top three finishers in each class. Come on out to the Young County Arena, Graham, TX  and have a good time.  WE WILL RUN AKRA 2018 RULES AT ALL 6 RACES
Mufflers and Kill Switch All karts MUST run a muffler. This is MANDATORY! No fuel additives allowed for all classes! Stock muffler on all Stock classes. Mod muffler on all Mod classes. The RVL is a great one. All karts must have a working kill switch that the driver          can reach. This will be tested! All racing vehicles must have mufflers that keep their kart at 95 DECIBELS or less at 50 feet from the racing surface. If the muffler gets knocked off, falls off, or becomes loud during a race, you will be black-flagged. Pull to the infield immediately. This means if your muffler  comes off anytime from the start of the race to exiting the track at the end of the race, you will be DQ’ed. If your kart becomes loud and you pull to the infield on your own, you will not be DQ’ed, you will receive last place points.
